'Chicago Fire' Star Molly Glynn Killed In Violent Thunderstorm By Falling Tree

"Chicago Fire" actress Molly Glynn died over the weekend after a tree fell on her while she was on her bicycle.
Glynn and her husband, Joe Foust, where in the Erickson Woods Forest Preserve in suburban Chicago on Friday, Sept. 5, when they got caught in a violent afternoon thunderstorm. A tree fell on Glynn, and she was rushed to Evanston Hospital, where she died from her injuries on Saturday. Glynn had been wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Foust expressed his grief on Facebook, telling friends: "I couldn't save her. I couldn't save her. She's gone. Things will never be the same."
Michael Halberstam, the artistic director at Chicago's Writers Theatre, told CBS: "Molly was a marvelous actress and a completely warm hearted and generous human being. She had grace, sophistication and a sparkling, sexy, sassy stage presence. She could transform from a princess to a flower girl in the twinkling of an eye. She was a loving mother and wife and everyone who met her fell in love with her."
Glynn, 46, has also appeared in TV series such as "Boss" and "Early Edition." She often played roles in Chicago's theater district and was a regular at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company.
The actress's friends set up a crowdfunding campaign at GiveForward.com to raise money for her husband and his two sons from a previous marriage. They have already raised $121,000 of its $135,000 goal.
